Therapy Intensives
Dedicated time for deeper therapeutic work.
More time. Deeper focus. Space to process.
Therapy Intensives provide three hours of dedicated therapeutic time for focused work around trauma-related concerns. The extended format allows for greater continuity and flexibility, giving you space to explore, process, and integrate without the limitations of a traditional therapy session.
What To Expect.
Before Your First Intensive: Your first Therapy Intensive begins with an 80–90 minute Focused Therapy Session. We'll discuss your goals, review relevant history, assess whether an intensive is appropriate, and prepare for the work ahead.
During Your Intensive: Your three-hour session is tailored to your goals and needs. Depending on what you're working on, the session may include EMDR, IFS, trauma processing, therapeutic exploration, skill building, or other trauma-focused approaches.
Ending Your Intensive: The final portion of your session is dedicated to slowing down, grounding, and integrating the work you've done. We'll make sure you have space to transition out of the intensive and discuss anything you may need moving forward.
What Can We Work On?
Therapy Intensives are available for a range of trauma-related concerns, including single-event or complex trauma, betrayal trauma, institutional betrayal, religious trauma, occupational trauma among first responders, military and healthcare professionals, moral injury, assault, and trauma related to medical or reproductive experiences.
How Therapy Intensives Can Fit Into Your Therapy
Therapy doesn't have to fit into just one format.
Some clients use Focused Therapy Sessions as their primary form of treatment and add a Therapy Intensive when they want dedicated time to focus on a particular concern.
Others may begin with a Therapy Intensive and return to Focused Therapy Sessions afterward to continue the work, support integration, and build on what was addressed during the intensive.
For clients who want a more structured, multi-day experience, the Multi-Day Intensive Package provides consecutive three-hour sessions, preparation, a comprehensive workbook, and follow-up support.
Your needs may change throughout therapy, and the way you work can change with them.
Investment & Availability
Therapy Intensives are offered on a private-pay basis.
3-hour weekday intensive — $450
3-hour evening or Saturday intensive — $600
Before your first Therapy Intensive: An 80–90-minute Focused Therapy Session is required. The Focused Therapy Session is $200 and is billed separately.
Once you've completed your initial Focused Therapy Session and first intensive, additional Therapy Intensives may be scheduled without repeating the initial session, provided the format remains clinically appropriate.
Therapy Intensives are available by appointment during weekday, evening, and select Saturday hours, with availability varying by clinician and location.
Is a Therapy Intensive Right for You?
A Therapy Intensive may be a good fit if you want dedicated time to focus on a specific trauma-related concern, prefer a more concentrated therapeutic experience, or feel that a particular area of work would benefit from more time than a traditional session allows.
If you're looking for ongoing support, Focused Therapy Sessions may be a better fit. If you want to dedicate multiple consecutive days to your therapeutic work, the Multi-Day Intensive Package offers a more structured experience with preparation, a comprehensive workbook, and follow-up support.
You do not have to know which format is right for you before reaching out. We can talk through what you hope to work on, your goals, and what you need from therapy to determine which option may be the best fit.
