Our Approach
Healing deserves time, depth, and care.
Our Philosophy
At Momenta, we believe that what happened to you should not have to determine what happens next. Trauma can change the way you see yourself, your relationships, and your future, but it does not have to remain in charge. We believe people deserve the opportunity to heal without being defined by a diagnosis, a label, or a predetermined timeline. We believe therapy should have room for the complexity of what people have lived through and the freedom to focus on where they want to go. Trauma may have already taken enough. We don't want it to take more. Momenta exists to help people move forward with intention, possibility, and a greater sense of choice in their lives.
Trauma Doesn't Have to Stay in Charge.

Our Guiding Principles
Healing is Individual.
We believe there is no single path, pace, or formula for healing. Therapy is shaped around the person, their experiences, and what they want to change.
We draw from different therapeutic approaches and tailor the work to what fits you, rather than trying to fit everyone into the same model.
Care is Intentional
We believe therapy should be meaningful and grounded in what we know works. We use evidence-based care and look beyond simply managing symptoms when there is more to address. The goal is to do work that matters to you and helps you move forward.
Clinicians Matter.
We believe who provides your care matters. We are thoughtful about the clinicians we bring to Momenta and look for those with the training, experience, and perspective to provide quality care.
We also believe clinicians need the capacity to do their work well. We are intentional about caseloads and workload so that our clinicians have the time and energy to be present for the people they serve.
Care can be Flexible.
We believe not every person or every stage of therapy needs the same amount of time or the same format.
Some work may benefit from focused sessions, while other work may call for a more intensive approach.
We offer different therapy formats so the care can fit what you are working through, your goals, and what you need at that point in your healing.
What you can expect.
Therapy should feel like a place where you can be honest, ask questions, and show up as you are. We will listen to what you have to say, take your concerns seriously, and work with you rather than talking at you. We won't assume we know what you need—we'll get to know you and build the work together.
You can expect us to be honest about what we see, explain the work we're doing and why, and talk with you when something isn't feeling right. We value your perspective and want you to feel comfortable speaking up, changing direction, or asking for something different.
Most importantly, we want therapy to be useful. The goal isn't simply to spend time talking about difficult things. It's to help you understand yourself, make meaningful changes, and move toward the life you want.
We're real people, too.
We take the work seriously. We don't think that means we have to be serious every second. There may be sarcasm, humor, shoes coming off, or an occasional swear word—with your okay, of course. We believe therapy can be professional without feeling stiff or formal. You can show up as yourself, and we'll do the same.
