Understanding Your Therapy Costs

Momenta Trauma Solutions is a private-pay practice. Because we do not bill insurance for our services, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before receiving services.

A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the expected cost of your scheduled services. It is provided in accordance with the No Surprises Act and is intended to help you understand your anticipated costs before beginning care.

What Your Good Faith Estimate Includes

Your estimate will include the services and expected charges that are reasonably anticipated based on the information available when your estimate is prepared.
For Momenta, this may include services such as:

  • Focused Therapy Sessions

  • Therapy intensives

  • Therapy Immersions

  • Other scheduled services provided by Momenta Trauma Solutions

Because therapy is individualized, the services and frequency of care may change over time. Your Good Faith Estimate is based on the services anticipated at the time it is created and is not a guarantee of the services you will ultimately receive.

When Will I Receive My Estimate?

You will receive a Good Faith Estimate when required by law, including when services are scheduled in advance or when you request an estimate.
If your anticipated services or the frequency of care changes significantly, your estimate may be updated to reflect the services reasonably expected going forward.

Your Estimate Is Not a Bill

A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of expected charges. It is not a bill, a payment agreement, or a guarantee of the total cost of care.
Actual charges may differ if the services you receive differ from those included in your estimate.

If Your Bill Is Higher Than Your Estimate

Under federal law, if you are uninsured or are not using insurance to pay for your care and your final bill is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill through the federal Patient-Provider Dispute Resolution process.
